log 02. Well a cracking start, popped the kite with about 30 seconds to the gun and think we were among the first across. Over onto the mainland side and picked up a bit of a back eddy. All was going fine until around 2pm when we fell into a hole for half an hour as the sea breeze came in then nice beat to the needles. Not huge winds but good progress.
All started to go a bit pear shaped as the tide went foul. Stemmed it for a while then decided to kedge. Lots and lots of warp but as I write this we are still going in the wrong direction at half the rate of the tide. Still, couple of hours and it will be favourable again and get going. Stop. Press - anchor is now holding so no night out in Brighton :-)
