We made it through the night and are now reaching under code zero at 260
degrees. We have about 100 miles to Land's end.
It's a beautiful clear Sunday morning with the coast of England just to
starboard. Just a little more breeze would be nice.
We threw in a tack around 1:30 to head north seeking for more breeze and
get above some of the fleet. We were on port tack so we had to weave our
way carefully through all the starboard tackers.
Around 3 am after tacking back we set the code zero and Breanna, Colin's 14
year old daughter did a great job driving as we passed several IRC 3 boats.
YB has U.S. currently in 19th, top half of the IRC1 fleet. Let's see if we
can reel in some of the others.
We are all looking forward to the approaching breeze.
Jokes are being made by some of the Long Island sound sailors that the wind
in the English Channel is just as light as back home.
