The crew of Kabestan Sailing Yacht Club yacht 'Me Julie' are raising money
and awareness of Hamble independent Lifeboats need for a new boathouse.
The independent station is not part the RNLI nor supported by them.
However the crew must train exactly the same way. They must also raise
funds themselves. Did you know that 26% of the countries lifeboats are
completely independent?
The intention of our Russian crew is to raise awareness of this as well as
try to raise some much needed cash for a new boathouse. The current
station is just big enough for the boat, let alone crew. They have no
toilet or shower facilities or changing facilities. Often they change
outside in all weather. Please give generously when you see our guys in
Plymouth.
