Coming to Cherbourg
The Cotentin peninsula is in west Normandy, and you can choose from several modes of transport and itineraries to get there!
The RN13 (dual carriageway) from Paris – Caen is a toll-free road, it joins onto the RN176 to Saint-Lô and the A84 motorway. Along the scenic route (D650) there are some unique landscapes to see as you cross the French department of La Manche, from Avranches to Cherbourg.
The Nomad lines run across the French department of La Manche and the whole region of Normandy.
The Paris-Cherbourg line (from Saint-Lazare train station) stops in the towns of Carentan, Valognes and Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (www.OUI.sncf and www.commentjyvais.fr).
